PCBA testing method

The PCBA process is complex. During the production and processing stage, various problems may arise due to equipment or improper operation, and it cannot be guaranteed that the products produced are all qualified. Therefore, PCBA testing is necessary to ensure that no quality issues occur in each product. So, what are the forms of PCBA testing? 

PCBA testing mainly includes five forms: ICT testing, FCT testing, aging test, fatigue test, and test in harsh environments. 

1. ICT Test: Includes the on-off status of circuits, voltage and current values and their fluctuation curves, amplitude, noise, etc. 

2. FCT Test: The IC program needs to be burned in, and the functionality of the entire PCBA board needs to be simulated for testing. Any problems existing in the hardware and software should be identified, and appropriate production fixtures and test stands should be provided. 

3. Fatigue Test: Sample the PCBA board and conduct high-frequency and long-duration functional operations on it. Observe if any failure occurs and determine the probability of failure in the test. This provides feedback on the working performance of the PCBA board within the electronic product. 

4. Testing in harsh environments: Place the PCBA board in extreme temperature, humidity, drop, water splashing, and vibration conditions, obtain the test results of random samples, and thereby infer the reliability of the entire batch of PCBA boards. 

5. Aging test: Power on the PCBA board and electronic products for a long period of time, keep them running and observe if any failure occurs. Only after the aging test can the electronic products be mass-produced and sold.
